Interesting Mongolia Facts
In 1998, it was estimated that there were 1057 bees in Mongolia.
There are an estimated 300 Roman Catholics living in Mongolia.
The Great Wall of China was built around 200 BC to keep the Mongols out.
Mongolia shares a 3485 km border with Russia, and a 4677 km border with China.
Mongolia did not introduce personal, nor corporate income tax until 2006.
There are 156 000 telephone lines, and 575 200 cell phones in Mongolia (2005)
The 2006 census reported 850 000 residents in Ulaanbaatar. That same year, the city celebrated its 1 millionth inhabitant.
